Form
version 2007-11-01

how a formchange works
every player has a hidden background-form which is leading the visible form up or down.

the form update at training:
each player will weekly-step-wise move towards the background-form. the bigger the difference between background-form and current form the bigger those steps.
after that each player has a 1:3 chance for a background-form change which then would -apart from a random factor- be influenced by the following factors:

controllable background-form influences
- most important is if a player has played a match that week (no advantage if he plays 2 times a week)
- a team with high training intensity will generally gain better form
- a good coach plus assistant coaches result in better form (goalkeeping coaches for keepers)

Stamina training share
training Stamina will drag the current form of your players down but doesn't influence the background form.
so the higher the share the higher the negative effect.

training 'General'
training general wont help raising your form sustainingly!
it could help the players that played a match in that week keeping their form or even raise it but wont change their background-form. Therefore only use this before a very important game.

how important is the form of a player?
if you watch the » star-rating of a player relative to his abilities and form you will quickly learn about the importance of form.
For example a solid defender with poor form will perform worse than a passable defender with solid form.
